How to setup Paystack for Zoho Books

Zoho Books is an online accounting software that manages your finances, automates business workflows, and helps you work collectively across departments, and with the Paystack Extension for Zoho Books, you can now send invoices and accept instant payments using Paystack in Nigeria, Ghana, and South Africa.

Install the plugin

The Paystack extension is publicly available in the Zoho Books app marketplace via this link. Follow the URL, and click the Install button.

This should open a dialog where you accept the terms of service, select the Zoho organization you want to install the extension for, and click Install.

Setting up your Paystack Plugin to work with Zoho Books

To access the Paystack plugin:

1. Go to Settings → Online Payments.
2. Select Paystack in the list of payment method
3. Then click on the edit button

Enter Your API Keys:

The Paystack plugin's settings have two mandatories input fields for your secret key and your public key.

You can find those keys in your Paystack Dashboard. After filling in your keys, save your configuration, and voila! You’re all set up and ready to accept payments in Zoho Books.

☝🏻 Remember to switch out your test keys for your live keys when you’re ready to accept real payments.

Accepting Payments

On your Zoho Books dashboard, Go to Sales>Invoices and create a new invoice or select the draft invoice you want to send.

Fill in the customer and invoice details as appropriate and ensure that Paystack is checked as a payment option at the bottom of the invoice creation form.

If the option is checked, the customer will have the option to pay for the invoice using Paystack, and when payment is completed, the invoice is automatically reconciled and marked as paid in the Zoho dashboard.
